Thai Family Style Feast

I spent a month cooking and eating in Bangkok, and absolutely love the flavors of Thai cuisine!
We’ll make a ton of great Thai food for you, and serve it family style.
Everything will be made from scratch, and all vegan.

That said, here’s the menu for the evening:
Som Tam Malakaw: Green Papaya Salad
Shredded green papaya, green beans, cherry tomatoes, lime, nori, and thai chile pounded with mortar and pestle, and topped with toasted rice powder and peanuts.
Tom Khaa Tao-Huu: Shredded Yuba, Coconut, and Galangal Soup
Seared and shredded yuba (tofu skin), in an aromatic coconut broth with makrut leaves, lemongrass, shallots, and galangal with lime and cilantro.
Kaeng Khiaw Waan Makheua: Green Curry with Tofu, Eggplant, Bell Pepper, and Bamboo w/Rice
Housemade green curry, fried tofu, braised eggplant, seared bell pepper, and sweet basil served with rice.
Lemongrass-Infused Soymilk Custard, Poached Apples, Citrus, Makrut Leaf Syrup
I used to make soymilk custard when I worked at Izakaya Yuzuki in SF, and Nahum had the wonderful idea of infusing it with lemongrass. On top of this we’ll serve diced, poached apples with citrus, and then top it off with a makrut leaf (aka Thai lime leaf) infused syrup. A fruitier, aromatic end to a flavorful meal!
