Spanish Tapas Night

I really enjoy Spanish food, and tapas in general, but it’s often a big challenge to find many vegan options. We’ll be serving most of this menu family style, with the exception of the Spicy Catalan Chowder and the Almond Cake for dessert! Feel free to bring a nice cava, albarino, rioja, or sherry to drink with your meal, and we’ll keep the food coming! This menu features a lot of bold and fresh flavors, finished off with a sumptuous almond cake with whipped sherry cream. A gluten free option is available for this meal as well!
This meal is 6 different dishes for an all inclusive (no tax, no tip!) $39, and you can make reservations here.
That said, here’s a preview of the menu:
Favas, Shelling Peas, Smoked Persimmon ‘Jamon,’ Sherry
Fresh fava beans and shelling peas, with smoked and dried persimmon ‘jamon,’ cooked in a Fino Pedro Ximinez sherry. Topped with fresh herbs, and shaved almond manchego.
The classic tapas dish!
Fried potatoes with sweet pimenton, and fermented thai chiles to give the sauce real depth and heat.
Escalivada with Salsa Verde
We’ll be tossing eggplants, peppers, and sweet red onion into embers, to let them smoke and cook, then chilling and slicing them to make a chilled vegetable salad.
We’ll be dressing it in a bright acidic salsa verde, and garnished with fried capers.
Bocadillos (little sandwiches)
We’ll be filling miniature bocadillos with yuba cooked in a rich sauce of fermented peppers, garlic and paprika. Topped off with garlic aioli and watercress.
Spicy Catalan Chowder
Seared king trumpet and oyster mushrooms, served in a tomato, saffron, and Mendocino sea vegetable broth. Served with picada, and a crust of bread, topped with saffron rouille.
Almond Cake with Whipped Sherry Cream
Our moist, tender almond cake with whipped sherry cashew cream.
