Hungarian Inspired Feast

I’m very in awe of Tartine bakery, and Bar Tartine in San Francisco. Much of their inspiration, as well as mine for this menu, stems from a strong appreciation for fermentation, as well as from Hungary. I spent a week working with Bar Tartine, and a year with Amaryll Schwertner who emigrated from Hungary, helped open Chez Panisse, and is a fantastic chef.
After all that name dropping, truth be told, Hungarian food is just delicious, and very appropriate for a cold Chicago winter. This menu features a lot of our homemade bread recipes as well, which have been getting even better with each batch.
The meal is 4 courses for an all inclusive (no tax, no tip!) $32
